I read 4 books this month:
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Into the Wind by Jake Ducey
The Conscious Parent by Shefali Tsabary
This was the first book I have read of Vonnegut. It was different, and I plan on reading more of his work. I am not sure I really loved it, but it did grab my attention.
The second book by Carnegie is a treasure trove of great ideas on human behavior. I was marking this book and taking notes throughout. I highly recommend this book if you haven't read it already.
The third book is a non-fiction story of self-exploration and world travel. Jake dropped out of college his freshman year to travel the world for 6 months and learned a great deal about himself and the world.
The fourth book by Tsabary is one I NEEDED to read! We do so many things as humans unconsciously because we have been conditioned to do it that way. We are often unaware and this effects how we parent our children and how they view themselves and the world. When we become conscious of WHY we are choosing to think and act a certain way it changes the journey and the outcome for us and others. "Becoming a fully conscious parent is the greatest gift you can give to your child."-Eckhart Tolle
